Author Guidelines

1. If you don´'t have a journal user, you must create one by the link in the upper horizontal menu "Register" and complete the requested form. It's important that you check the option "Register as Author: You can send articles to the journal" at the end of the form.

2. The next step is to enter the platform with your username and password. On the initial page you will find the option "Make a Submission".

3. You must complete each of the five steps to send the contribution. The title of the work, the abstract and the keywords must be entered in both the original language of the article and in English.

4. Types of papers or contributions: the journal accepts unpublished papers from the field of Osteopathy and related disciplines, not accepting those that have been published in whole or in part or sent to other journals for evaluation. The works may belong to three categories: (a) Original article, (b) Brief communication and (c) Review. In cases (a) and (b), the works must be original, reflect a solid and updated knowledge of the state of the art and represent a contribution to knowledge. In both cases, the works must reflect rigor in the methodologies used as well as in the argumentation used. In case (c), contributions will be at the request of the Editorial Committee.

Format of the papers

The journal accepts Microsoft Office Word files. Adapt to the Template.

Any direct or indirect allusion that may disclose the identity of the authors should be removed from the work. On the first page, the full names and surnames of all the authors, their institutional affiliation (full name and postal address) and e-mail must be entered.

The section in which the work is proposed must be detailed - (a) Original article, (b) Brief communication, or (c) Review -, the title of the contribution in its original language and in English, a summary of maximum 200 words in their original language and English and up to six keywords in their original language and English, separated by commas.

The articles should present the following structure: 1. Introduction, 2. Method (2.1. Participants, 2.2. Instruments, and 2.3. Procedure), 3. Results, 4. Discussion / Conclusion and References.

References will follow the format of the Vancouver system. All citations from the sources that were used for the preparation of the work and that appear in the text should be recorded solely and exclusively.

Tables, graphs and figures

Tables, graphs and figures must appear within the text, in the corresponding place according to the development of the work and immediately after naming it, for example: “… as you can see in the table 1.”. Must conform to Vancouver stystem.

Language

The works may be written in Spanish, Portuguese, English. In all cases, you must include the type of work and the abstract in English.

Evaluation of the works

All submitted manuscripts undergo a preliminary review to determine if the work falls within the objectives, editorial policy and standards of the journal. If accepted in the preliminary evaluation, it will be subjected to the double-blind review method, that is, maintaining the anonymity of the authors and the evaluators. The peer reviewers must value the contribution and indicate their final decision to the editor, among which are:

1) Job accepted in its current state

2) Accepted work, subject to minor revisions

3) Conditionally accepted work, subject to major revisions

4) Job rejected in its current version

In the event of dissent among the evaluators of an article, it will be subject to a third criterion that allows the dispute to be resolved. The Editing Committee does not correspond to works not accepted for publication.
